Theres a pub so I sit in the garden and have a swift half of Korev and peruse the map. I half consider crossing the road and exploring Horners Neck woods, but I can't be arsed with the climb as it's a steep descent. so I decide to call it a day.

A last view of Lyton before heading off across the barrow.

I reach butter hill and an extremely cute church with fab gothic yew tree action.

Big fan of a yew tree in a graveyard.

The locals having a good gawp at me.

Half way around the point I spy Lynmouth. I'm not dead yet, and as I can't see a soul and there's only sea and sky for company, it seems the perfect pit stop for a pork pie.

Ideal.

Nowt like sitting on the edge of vastness and having a snack.

There is a path here somewhere.

Honest.

You know that arcade game, the penny falls. This path is like walking on a giant one of those. But you definitly DO NOT want to win the jackpot.

You certainly need to have a head for heights for this path.

I spend a good part of my job up very high ladders so I'm pretty good with them, but this path was certainly not for the faint hearted... it gets dicier... wait for it.

I nearly miss the footpath that carries on round the point, it's so thin and underused.

There is also this rather ominous sign.... ONWARDS! TO ADVENTURE!

I follow a tarmac track to Foreland Point lighthouse.

It is super cute.

The sea is just being full on gorgeous today!

The heather and gorse are a riot of colour and the air is filled with the most wonderful scent.

I bloody love this coastline, it's always giving everything!

I start at Barna Barrow and skirt through the gorse and heather towards the sea.

The view is dreamy! The sea melting into the sky.
