I'm trying to figure out the simplest way to record #Reaper sessions and voice over with #OBS. I had a workflow on macOS, but I need a different solution for #linux.
You'd think it'd be easier with JACK and whatnot, but I was pulling my hair out last night.

I got to play with a bottle of Turbo Dork color-shifting paint. Seemed like a good chance for Sarah Blitzer, IMEF Marine from Reaper’s Chronoscope line to show off her gear.
Finally took the time to set up some trusty Windows audio plugins in Linux today, courtesy wine + yabridge. Now I've got Sonible, Arturia, and FabFilter plugins in my Debian 12 system! What more could you ask for, seriously?

@DesireeRenae @JamiePauls Would one of you be willing to get on the phone or do a jaws tandem or rim session, to see why my left arrow isn't behaving properly in #Reaper. All other programs work as expected, which is part of what makes this whole situation so bizarre.

What's your familiarity level with #Reaper? I'm having a wierd issue with my left arrow key, that is exclusive to Reaper. I have all necessary extensions which make it accessible to those of us using #screen-readers. thie issue is:
When audio is not playing & I'm not in keyboard help mode, the left arrow seems to take me forward through my project, rather than back, as it should & states it will when I enable help mode.
I have the latest version of #jaws2025, along with the scripts you made installed.
How do you recommend I proceed?

I'd love to discover a way to record a piece of music that starts without click and then continues to a click in the middle of it. An external metronome could be triggered by foot pedal, for instance. But could it be done all within the DAW? Has someone devised a #Reaper script for such a thing?
Hey @JamiePauls I'm working on editing a podcast that's due tomorrow. I have a good start but I'm having issues with the way some keystrokes are being interpreted by #Reaper. Would you be willing to assist me this evening? I'm in eastern time.
I recently discovered a meter/scope for #reaper that displays the transfer curve of a saturation effect! My dreams are a reality! It's fascinating to flip through my different saturation plugins and gain deeper insight into what they're doing. I'm curious if I can approximate my paid plugins with free/stock options.
@DesireeRenae @JamiePauls Me too! :) I'm getting sync errors there too. They suggested I make a new profile. My pc syncs fine though, but other devices, such as my iPhone are encountering conflicts. I'm also having issues with left arrow in #Reaper.
Would anyone happen to have any tips on how to create seamless loops in reaper? Every single tutorial I can find on internet is as is usual, extremely visual and impossible to follow as a blind user.
