Tried the #OnePlus 6T camera in #OBS and it works! Cannot select resolution and the default is pretty small and zoomed in, but frame rate is smooth. Might be another way to record video with #postmarketOS!

Front camera is still very purple. Unfortunately, having two Pipewire sources active simultaneously (to see both cameras at once) does not seem to work. They both just freeze.

Trotzdem laut chat ziemlich miese FPS.

Hat jemand Ideen?

obs: HDR Output not looking great
OK, I've been doing a lot of HDR work and it's been mysterious how to set OBS to do this properly. I tried to do one and the colors were way off, but looking at Reddit, you get to the OBS notes and it says that is it. using the latest Screen Capture Kit from Appl,e and the precise setting you need are:

Settings > Advanced > Video
Color Format: P010 (10-bit, 4:2:0, 2 pla

I started occasionally streaming almost five years ago. I had no idea what to do back then ...

... yesterday, we were streaming with @cyberladies a discussion about hiring in cybersecurity (it's in Czech, currently on https://www.twitch.tv/cyberladies for those interested, it will be later on our YouTube channel) and I realized that I now posses a set of three adjustable lights, proper camera, good microphone, am able to style myself a little bit and can run two OBS instances in parallel - one doing virtual camera with green screen and the other one processing the actual stream of a video call with a few other people. And all of it using Linux (when I started, I used Streamlabs OBS on Windows, hadn't used it for a long time). And there's so much more I learnt to do over time, including grabbing video from different sources, adding a variety of assets to streams etc.

I think next on my path will be to learn basics of Blender and some video editing tool to create some proper scripted videos about my favorite topics and become an e-girl or something 😺

Attached images are my selfies before the yesterday's stream to illustrate where am I now.

Dear Fediverse, I am looking for a super simple streaming tool that is just as brilliant as OBS, but only for the use case of streaming a presentation (yes pptx is still dominant 😞).

But webcam on, select presentation..and GO GO GO!

There may be a config button on it.. but for the stimulation of more (live) broadcasting via PeerTube that is not a USP. it has to be simple above all! 95% of the use cases in my opinion.

Now it is time for something a little different. I worked on a small integration with #OBS you want to know how? Well, I build a square widget that can be accessed via a separate URL, so it can be easily integrated into an OBS scene!
Why I did this ... I am not sure, I just felt like it. I want to integrate more of my things together, and this felt like a good starting point.

#OBS is my new favourite tool!

I have to show slides on a Zoom call while *two* people will be speaking to them, and if I got either one to screenshare, the other speaker would not be visible at all.

I only really knew that OBS does screen capture and outputs it to a virtual camera that will show up in Zoom.

It took me 10 mins max from downloading the OBD app to getting it streaming my slide deck to Zoom.

The hardest thing was scaling the output properly as its setup wizard assumed I have a 1080p display. Once I manually entered my display size I was able to manually resize the source in the studio 'stage.'

The plan is to spotlight the two speakers and my own video so the slides will be small but visible alongside the talking heads.

Super looking forward to playing various games this weekend. I hope I can kick myself to stream some of them.

It's just frustrating when half of your streaming setup refuses to work properly. I rarely had issues with Gamecaster because 90% of my alerts ran natively through the software. 🙃 Needing to change streaming software (2 years ago now?) definitely stole my joy a bit, and added stress and annoyance to the whole process.

I feel like OBS fails to refresh its sources A LOT. It's not just an issue with one source, it's multiple different ones. Which is very confusing when they DO work on and off. Sigh. #OBS #Streaming

Forgot to start my stream again. I should try to setup an automation so that 5 minutes after I start a print OBS starts my stream with an output timer set to stop the stream one minute after printing ends. Either that or just setup a stream in HA that's not broadcast, since I don't think that anyone watches except me. It is nice to be able to watch my print from elsewhere. #HomeAssistant #OBS #3DPrinting
