Prior to Carey signing a record contract, she and producer #BenMargulies had written and produced a four-track #demo which included #Someday. I'm all for people going to #Mars #someday, but #colonization cannot be how they do it.

I would strongly #oppose, for instance, #mining Mars for #resources, setting up #NationStates or #territorial claims of nation-states on Mars, #terraforming Mars, or letting #capitalist #corporations operate on Mars. It would have to be a #scientific endeavor for all of humanity, with respect for Mars as a #planet in its own right.

Even if there's no #life there, expanding #colonialism still hurts #humans.

Und zwar komplett: Zu diesem Ergebnis kommt eine Studie von Wissenschaftlern des britischen Polarforschungsprogramms in Cambridge, die im Fachjournal Nature Climate Change veröffentlicht wurde.

Allein die Gletscher des Westantarktischen Eisschilds lassen die weltweiten Ozeane um bis zu fünf Meter ansteigen, wenn sie vollständig abgeschmolzen sind. Emden liegt ein Meter hoch.
