One thing that #DollRevolution showcases, and that I really noticed at #TheBangles concert was how they rotate the lead vocals between Susanna Hoffs and the Petersen sisters…and I adore it.
I generally describe #DollRevolution as the sort of album you’d get if #TheBangles spent a couple of decades just playing for themselves at home and then went “to hell with it” and recorded their favourites as a new album for no other reason than that they could. There are NO (ZERO) bad songs on this album. It is fabulous ALL THE WAY DOWN.
So, after #TheBangles concert finished I picked up the new(ish to me at least) album #DollRevolution.
Folks, if you **ever** liked #TheBangles even a teeny, tiny, bit, GET THIS ALBUM.
Time for some #TheBangles #DollRevolution. I remember seeing the Bangles live in Canberra in 2006, 2008 (?) something like that and a) being very impressed by how disciplined their sound was and b) hearing a bunch of new songs in the concert and hearing them well enough to like them (they had really good sound mixing that concert).
