My beard was getting quite unruly. I've been a bit lazy about grooming it.
Trimmed it way down this morning and I can feel air on my face again.

Still in a decent amount of pain from my fall. Parts of my body that impacted the ground are showing some pretty fun bruises.
Various muscles were stressed from the impact as well so I’ve been aching all over.
Probably didn’t help that I did a bunch of physical labor yesterday.
Doing yard work while still very much in pain from a fall is kinda butts. But it really needed to be done.
I think I’ll spray down the fertilizer tomorrow.
I also finally got the start of the new porch barrier going. I don’t know what to plant in them yet. My primary concern was making sure they weighed enough to not be easy to push over. They should be about 80 lbs each with a fairly solid base. And more when watering them.
One of my #favorite #genres of #photography (and also #art in general) is #SliceOfLife, #unique #perspectives on #ordinary or #mundane #scenery or #objects. I just #love the #appreciation of the #world we live in. We could all use more of that kind of #thinking ourselves, I believe.

A quotation from Alfred Hitchcock
Making a film means, first of all, to tell a story. That story can be an improbable one, but it should never be banal. It must be dramatic and human. What is drama, after all, but life with the dull bits cut out.

This is the spirit of #spontaneity and #improvisation. They were testing stuff out and to me it's obvious that here they were testing things and this is also sort of an in-joke between actors. Maybe not but at least it gave me an impression of that it might be something like that. One actor thinking the other actor's #creativity was too #mundane and responded.
Then they decided to keep it in!

Yet, to see it requires more than just looking — it asks for a surrender, a willingness to let go of cynicism and to meet the world on its own terms. Perhaps this is where the art of living begins — not in searching for grand happenings but in learning to embrace the quiet magic of what’s already in front of us. The extraordinary doesn’t need to be created; it has always been there, nestled within the folds of the ordinary, waiting patiently to be seen.
