At this exact moment in the edits of my WIP, Niv's highest priority is to deliver their passengers to their destination so that they could return to the quest of reaching a safe haven where they can finally catch their breath and reset.

Jim's not religious (which has its own issues in the new timeline). He grounds his morality in "do no harm." People who do unnecessary harm? For greed, or to enjoy causing suffering? He's quite willing to call them 'evil.'

Juniper's is the same as it's always been; survival. That's become a good deal more complicated since she went on the lam with a powerful magical item, needless to say. Her actions will have effects that change the entire world around her before she's done, and yet that's a secondary priority to her, at best.

Maybe some of you noticed that I only answered the #ScribesAndMakers prompts the last few days. It's because my internet is kaputt. My provider gave my prepaid phone a generous amount of data volume until it's fixed, and mostly the hotspot works fine.
But damn, am I ever dependent on that stuff.
Books, news, communication, even recipes and patterns... everything is online. I've felt more than a bit lost lately.

He's in a terrible shape, perhaps not as much physical as mentally, but he's hanging in there. For now.

Skylands: Find some smiths who can make steel strong and fine enough for use to make parts that will keep Banhba airborne and operational.

The second highest is finding out how and when her youngest sister decided that thirty years age difference, and the prospective fiance being twice widowed already (!), are an acceptable side effect of marrying a title.

The highest is not murdering her suspects before she can establish what actually happened, being able to get away with murder is bad for morals *and* efficiency...

Vinegar and boiling are used for many forms of cleaning and though the servants are supposed to air everything before putting it back, we live sufficiently far north that airing is always very short. Besides, everybody is used to the smells. I don't know why it upset me more and for longer than other smells of the time, such as horse manure."

The main series antagonist has just conquered a prefecture in the dragon lands and has left Thorn Rose (who she had accompany her) as the interim military governor. Why? Because? Rainy Days is often inscrutable. Well, she's probably testing her "new favorite student," best as I [the author] can tell, to determine whether Thorn is bloodthirsty or lacks a conscience.

Thorn is a senior in high school, the top student and an egghead, and knows she's not qualified other than taking her role very seriously, but she is told to listen to what the advisors and experts installed below her report and to adjudicate guilt and motive—and "not to kill too many people."

Thorn interprets that as the wrong people. That's her priority, not killing the wrong people. I've yet to determine if this will cause her PTSD.

On a grander scale, figuring out the cause of the influx of helpful apparitions.

On a cosmic scale, it's figuring out how to find the Ethereal deities in order to help them make sense of human consciousness before they make mistakes and fail to maintain the balance of the Realms and reality collapses.

A vindictive wizard has stuck her in front of an approaching army, alone, without so much as a magic sword, and sarcastically wished her luck.

Galahad: Convincing Siff that her approach isn't perhaps the smartest.

As where we are published, Finding the Kudan's Mate. A mythical figure said to be the only creature that can nullify a prophecy by the Kudan, the sole loophole in the saying "The Kudan never lies."

In the overall picture, it is to banish or other nutrilize Mikawa-san, a powerful onryo or vengeful ghost.

Where I left Ashrah in the last chapter, her priority is to leave Orgysh, the Frozen Peaks. In the big picture, it is what it has always been: achieving true freedom.

For Nitara, it's destroying Datusha "and whoever bastard is wielding it."

For Mileena, it's making sense of what she discovered in the last chapter...

For Sareena, it's [redacted].
