#Musk’s group has now triggered mass #firings across the government, & sharp cutbacks in #humanitarian #aid around the world. Musk has justified those disruptions with two promises: that the group would be transparent, & that it would achieve budget cuts that others called impossible.

Now, watching the group pare back its aims & puff up its progress, some of its allies have grown doubtful about both.

The situation in Gaza is now absolutely catastrophic: OCHA

More than 400,000 people have now been displaced in just over three weeks.

A massive shortage of water and water facilities have been damaged and destroyed, leading to absolutely appalling hygiene conditions.

Absolutely zero supplies have come in in over 40 days, which means OCHA is running out of everything, including critical medical and trauma supplies.

Israel has repeatedly used food and international humanitarian aid as a tool of collective pressure against Palestinians over 17 months of its devastating war on the Gaza Strip.

Civilians in the enclave have been subjected to extreme food shortages and famine-like conditions throughout the war. Dozens of children have died of starvation.

I'm Victoria, and I'm running this fundraiser to support my friends in Northern Gaza—Walid, Amjad, Abood, Mahmoud, and Mo, who was previously further South. They founded the 'Cruelty-Free Meals for North Gaza Kitchen', which was lovingly renamed the Cruelty-Free Kitchen and later expanded into the Cruelty-Free Camp. Thanks to your generous donations, the Kitchen has successfully distributed thousands of meals, ensuring that hundreds upon thousands of people—primarily children— left the Kitchen with food in their bellies. After the Kitchen paused over the ceasefire, the team decided to take the risk to continue operations, as well as working daily to distribute clean water to hundreds in the neighbourhood, provide shelters for displaced families, and distribute financial aid to families with no income.
