Well, I spoke too soon about Annie's anti-nausea meds. She just had another round of vomiting. I'm keeping the paper towel folks in business cleaning this stuff up, and it stinks horribly. Neither Annie nor I am happy.

Since your vet has now tentatively diagnosed IBD, have they not put Annie on Prednisolone? That's what reduced the intestinal inflammation quickly for Teddy- the one-two punch of both the new Hill's z/d diet plus the Prednisolone steroid round, (which got reduced to half after 10 days).
With IBD, the cat has developed a sever allergic reaction to one or more ingredients in commercial cat food and treats. Eating the trigger food ignites the raw inflammed intestines. Ironically, it could even be a common ingredient in the pill pocket nuggets that triggers another reaction.
I'm hoping your vet will try Prednisolone... according to everything I've read over the past month, it's the standard accepted treatment for IBD in cats.
My 3 vets (it's a clinic) all explained to me that typically if the cat improves, they slowly taper the Pred. down and can even cycle them off it until a flareup starts, but the diet is a forever thing and the cat shouldn't have kitty treats or other things... only the special diet, to give the guts a chance to heal.
I'm so sorry your are going through this. We had to euthanize a kitty with IBD eleven years ago, it was so very sad. I feel for you.
Yes, the vet will probably try prednisone. Please, I know you're only trying to help, but let my vet treat the cat without your intervention.
