Pan roasted pears for tonight's salad.

I wasn't careful enough with the spatters and now have a little blister on my wrist.

It's for a simple but quite filling salad of romaine, watercress, cucumbers, spiced pecans, and a balsamic vinaigrette.

Two pears in the process of being sliced. One pear is just halved. The other has been cored, and one half has been cut into four slices. Also a shot glass of olive oil, a shot glass of balsamic vinegar, and a prep bowl with sugar, salt and pepper.
