I couldn't bring myself to post it yesterday because I was completely floored by this. But Jay from Liminal Fiction has reviewed #HeraldPetrel and it came back with a solid 5 stars and the summary:
"If you enjoy ‘hard’ science fiction and space opera with a helping of romance, you will love this book."
I never would have been bold enough to even think of it as hard #SciFi

Congratulations! Deserved praise! In particular, there was a good point about the sense of claustrophobia induced by the nature of the ship and situation. Adds delicious tension to the interactions romantic and rancorous.
Interestingly, I never questioned it being 'hard' SF. That's really all I read. Often, unfortunately, the subgenre doesn't have enough balancing 'human' component. But #HeraldPetrel had plenty.
@joewynne Yeah, the single POV certainly supported the feeling of claustrophobia, too.
I'm glad you considered it hard SciFi, too. I was basically writing a tale about people (humanoids and other species alike) and tried to make it halfway plausible from the technical side, although the Transwarp Wobbler probably doesn't stand a chance against a scrutinizing stare.
Thank you so much for the support.
