I know I'm getting older, because people's conversations sound like this:

Have you seen Schenley, it's streaming in Smoob, but if you don't have Smoob, you can PowerWerk it on Placebu.

We used to do intake through Franangle, but we're switching to PLOOP, but it doesn't have chat, so we are having to add Blamama XD!

In Celebrity News, Bargain Bin Ted, is now engaged to Dierks, just in time for the opening of their bar/sleep monstrosity Smooth Brain.

As a "greybeard" software developer who's paid to stay current on technology, I can't tell you how hard I want to roll my eyes at breathless product announcements like:

"It's Farbigast but written in Smoogle!"

Please, for the love of all that's holy tell me what.it.does and why in Buddha's name I should care that you've now built it with/for Smoogle. I beg you.

@PixelJones @RickiTarr

Fellow grey beard software guy.

So much this.

What's even "better" is when you go to the website to figure out what it does, and still can't tell, as their "solutions" just reads like yet more MadLibs (remember those?) with further made up words and acronyms.

Totally! Breathless buzzword bingo isn't a substitute for substance. Empty calories.

Oh, here's another greybeard pet peeve: Yet another "simple, minimalist" framework. Sure, it can generate an AI-connected to do list w/ voice-recognition in a single command-line but requires you first install 14 packages & edit 3 config files & interpret 20 pages of jargon on 5 websites to get to "simple."

To quote Princess Bride, "I don't think that word means what you think it does."

I always want to be like the "Bobs" in Office Space.

What exactly is it you'd say you do here?
