Birdwatching is great because you get to be in touch with nature and learn something about your surroundings, but I also love it because birds make me laugh. Look at these goofballs! I am sure I will go through all these emotions this week too 😆

I agree 100%. Your bird photos always make me smile or laugh. I thought you'd enjoy this photo I took the other day when we had a sudden group of a few dozen #birds stop by our feeders. I rarely see grackles or rwbb here, but there were so many, and all at once! The odd starling crashing the party didn't have a great time. You can see its foot got trapped by the grack that lost its balance on the slippery spring-loaded perch. It was pandemonium for about fifteen minutes.

I don't even know where to start. The red-winged black birds on the left are flying in and taking off, showing off the red patches. The ones on the upper right are raiding the suet feeder. The grackle in the middle is a little slow to figure out that it is now upside down and hanging on for dear life, but it is also holding a frantic starling in place by the foot. Don't worry, I refilled the feeders shortly afterwards. But it was rainy and cold and I didn't want to go out for a while there.
