to those who celebrate! I always find it fascinating to see what colors and shades the Grackles come in, and this year is no difference. And like every year, there is one that stumps me with its eye colors. Very dark, unlike the adults, but also not a youngster (first two).

A Common Grackle looks straight into the camera. The plumage colors are subdued and the eyes are of a dark color, not the typical yellow of the adults.

I know that Common Grackles have white eyes and Boat tailed Grackles have dark/red eyes (in the US). Perhaps that's what you've got?
