I'm not sure why, but I was thinking about Robin Williams this morning. He was truly a legendary soul, and his endless talent and boundless energy is greatly missed.
There are many movies of his which I'm a fan. I picked some of his top films (in my mind, anyway) for a morning movie poll. Feel free to share other favorites.
I was a Robin Williams fan even before i was a star trek fan! Some of my earliest memories are of watching Mork & Mindy! (reruns on nick-at-night, i think, in the middle(?) 1980s
)
So many favorites, i could never pick just one! Though I'm tempted to start listing ones you havent mentioned, like Jumanji! And Bicentennial Man!
@5ciFiGirl I'm a huge Mork & Mindy fan. Growing up in Colorado, I thought it was so cool that the show's story location was Boulder.
@HippieScubaSteve As Genie in "Aladdin" (1992). And, in "One Hour Photo" (2002). So against type, with a subtle, creepy, performance.
@Still_Nimmy @HippieScubaSteve
I'll second Aladdin, and Mrs. Doubtfire!
And add The Birdcage to my previous list!
Definitely Aladdin. I've got the songs from the soundtrack flying through my head now.
Patch Adams and Dead Poets Society, also.
@HippieScubaSteve We all know the Patch Adams song. @5ciFiGirl @Still_Nimmy
I always forget that Gene Hackman was in The Birdcage.
@HippieScubaSteve @5ciFiGirl I forgot that about Gene Hackman, too.
Sorry about the unleashing of "Aladdin" earworms.
@HippieScubaSteve
Good Will Hunting, but I would throw in Dead Poet's Society too
@HippieScubaSteve I rewatched a bunch of his movies a few months back. I think I enjoyed The Birdcage most, Good Morning Vietnam a close second.
@HippieScubaSteve Mork and Mindy was my first memory of him but Good Will Hunting was a work of art. Most if not all were works of art from him.
@HippieScubaSteve Bicentennial Man.
@HippieScubaSteve Birdcage!
