I have no qualifications to make this prediction but I predict that measles will continue to spread in the USA for at least the next 6 to 12 months, and if it turns into 6-12 years, that won't surprise me either.
C'mon people: ask the senior citizens like me what life was like before we got vaccines against polio, etc. Just ask your grandparents--we remember.

@bkahn @SecondStix I remember standing in a very long line with my mother and sister in the parking lot of a grocery store in LA to get a polio vaccine. Mothers couldn’t wait to get their kids vaccinated. Imagine wondering if your kid would get polio every time they played with other kids. I remember having mumps (it hurts!). How can parents unnecessarily put their kids through these diseases?

@Lundemo Re: Childhood diseases. Sadly, I had almost all of those, except polio because I was born a billion years ago. None of them were fun and some left lasting defects. Went to school with kids who had shriveled legs from polio. As a parent, I made sure my kid got all the vaccines, although he somehow got chickenpox. But he can get shingles shots, like I did. Not vaccinating a child against a preventable disease is child neglect and abuse, in my opinion. It's dangerous and wrong. No exceptions. 😷
