In 2022, Missouri River basin runoff above Sioux City, Iowa totaled 19.3 million acre-feet, 75% of average.
This was the 30th lowest annual runoff for the #MissouriRiver Basin in 125 years of record-keeping. #Drought is expected to persist in much of the basin.

@DeniseGutzmer Tell the Army Corps of Engineers to wait till spring. SD got like 17 inches of snow on top of the last snow a few weeks ago. I talked to a guy who had a 7 foot drift in his driveway. Sioux Falls to St Francis/Mission is buried. This is I-90 yesterday.
@honyell I’ve seen some pics of incredibly deep snow in western Nebraska and parts of South Dakota. So, yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how the snow/water situation looks in the spring!
