Both used "Political necessity" as the excuse for their support. Both said "But we asked others to help!" as an excuse why.</p><p>In reality, they are both either evil for doing the same thing, or they are both not evil for it. You cannot have one, without the other and remain <a href="https://tilde.zone/tags/logically" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>logically</span></a> consistent.</p>
C.<p>The vertical axis, &quot;<a href="https://mindly.social/tags/rationalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>rationalism</span></a>&quot;, is a little fuzzier concept. A common definition is something like how much you believe that <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/rational" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>rational</span></a>, <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/intellectually" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>intellectually</span></a> <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/rigorous" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>rigorous</span></a> <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/planning" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>planning</span></a> can solve society&#39;s <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/social" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>social</span></a> <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/problems" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>problems</span></a>.</p><p>If you think we can solve every problem, if only we had the correct government program, or civilian association supporting it, or work hard enough, or if we <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/redistribute" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>redistribute</span></a> <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/resources" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>resources</span></a> <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/logically" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>logically</span></a>, etc, then you fall at the top end of this scale.</p><p>5/x</p>
