As expected, all the pieces exploded out, so it took a lot of work to understand how they go back together. This model is known for the latch mechanism breaking. John-Mark Gurney<p>Just repaired an audio mixer. A reverse polarity diode was shorting the positive and negative rails. Easy to confirm it was the diode by clipping on lead of it and confirming that the rails aren't connected anymore.</p><p>I'm more happy that the diode was both marked on the part and on the board, and that I happen to have a 4148 on hand to replace it with.</p><p>Took maybe 5 minutes to fix it, more to remove the case and put it back in the case.</p><p><a href="https://flyovercountry.social/tags/repairability" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>repairability</span></a></p>
