Still getting the “Offline” in red at the top of my feed, and no new posts showing. Might be time to switch from the “official” Mastodon app to a different one. So what do you use, and is it worth it? Should mention that I’m on Apple. iOS and iPadOS.

@PhilRedbeard I've seen others says they get the offline banner when an instance is down or overloaded. Another reason you can see the offline banner is related to deleting an account on an instance and creating a new one on the same instance but forgetting to log out of the old (deleted) account on every device you use. Does that apply to you? If not, your instance probably has some other issue. Check with the admin. Good luck getting your problem resolved!

@PhilRedbeard Yeah the official Mastodon app isn't great. I use Ivory and love it, but there's also Mammoth, IceCubes, MetaText, Mona, Mastoot, and Tooot
