Drunk On TeaI was thinking, "Who would make the perfect Space Marine?", so thought who is a bit xenophobic.... leans a bit further right politically than is healthy and says "Brother" a lot..... so I painted up a Space Marine in the style of Hulk Hogan! Saoirse DulipPriming has been finished. I will say that, with the Sister it is actually somewhat hard to see if it's primed or not since the grey I was using so closely resembles the sprue itself. Therefore, this is a little bit of a prayer that it's fully coated. I _did_ see pooling, so I know paint got on it. It looks even, so I'm thinking we're good.The head, much easier to see.The sacrificial mech was a lighter color so it was easier to see. Saoirse DulipFor the priming itself, I'm using Stynlyrez, gray and black. In most cases I will be utilizing the grey primer as most of my Sisters do not have any black or significantly dark colors. Saoirse Dulipit doesn't have the control a full fledged airbrush has, ... I find for my purposes and what I use it for it works just fine. Saoirse DulipFor priming, rather than using a rattle, spray-can of primer, I'm going to be airbrushing my primer on. This is partly due to the fact that where I live is _HIGH_ humidity. The last time I tried this I had an incredible amount of "feathering". I have found that doing it this way I'm able to get a good primer coat on and it's convenient.For this, I am using a USB chargeable airbrush I picked up a few months back. So, while I continue to research and purchase the paints for the Sister, I am going to be testing those older paints on the mech and see how well they do. Saoirse DulipMy intention tomorrow is to do priming on the Sister as I get ready for the painting process. Admittedly, I do not yet have the paints I want to use for her yet. Citadel brand paints are costly after all and I want to make sure I'm getting what I need.That said, I did find a whole bunch of very old, super cheap acrylic paint that I had once used a long time ago the first time I tried painting minis.
