The #SailfishOS mastodon client, #tooter , just had a minor bug fix upgrade. Conversation threads finally show all images properly. Hopefully I can finally get to the real work! Should be available in chum and harbour tomorrow. Or github, github.com/poetaster/harbour-t 1.1.9 now.

@crschmidt one last note. ANY modification of the literal content of a post is 'undefined' behavior from my stance. Now, that's true for client and server. The masto client i maintain, for instance, turns mp3 links into an audio player. Inline. Well, that's not the content! The content was a url. Hmm. I'm conflicted. The behaviour of #tooter, in this and other cases, has nothing to do with a spec.

Newbie #tooter question: How would I go about following this (& other) #journalist's stories here on #Mastodon if, when I search from my instance, their name doesn't come up in search as having a #MastodonAccount? propublica.org/people/rob-davi

Also, confidential to #ProPublica: please add a link to Mastodon from your webpage. I only see FB, YT, Twitter logos. I know it's possible to link to Mastodon with the 'M' bc I do it from #Wordpress, & if *I* can figure out how to do it, it's gotta be easy!

There's something I've #noticed so I'd like to provide some #assistance & #clarity to users #migrating from #Twitter to #Mastodon

Mastodon does not use any #algorithms. When you #favourite a #toot you're showing the #tooter you appreciated the #toot. However this doesn't help expand reach.

The suggestion I'd make.. Go ahead & favourite the toot BUT also #boost it

Boosting the toot helps people in your timeline see it & so forth.
