A short part of Ruta 40 in the south is unpaved. Its know as the Malditos but it isn't too bad. It could be terrible when wet due to some sections being compacted dirt rather than gravel, but stick to the lines and you'll be fine.

At the end of that section, I put the bike aside for a bit and went hiking. Pic 2 is of the Fitzroy mountain peaks seen from the hiking trail.

I decided that it was time to buy a more reliable vehicle and it turned out to be a Royal Enfield Meteor 350.

My wife and I drove about 160 kilometers this weekend with the #RoyalRiders convoy. It was the best trip I could ever had as this was my third day of driving a motorcycle!

We are currently really excited for the next trips to come!

After passing Agua Negra and entering Chile, the road zig-zagged on and the snow eventually started melting. This is where I saw my favourite view so far (pic 1) of the four peaks of different colours. There is a reservoir here, where the meltwater gets stored. They're also building a tunnel here so the mountains can be crossed all year around, but if you ever come here take the old mountain road! It will always be so much more beautiful!
