I need to craft, and present, a Baby Naming Ceremony as my next assignment for my Interfaith Ministry training course.

It's actually making me physically sick with worry and overwhelming sadness, so I am wondering about doing a Transgender Renaming Ceremony instead.

If anyone has any resources or books to recommend, please let me know.

I have started my Interfaith Ministry training with the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation this week.
It's an interesting mix. Quite new-agey with Buddhist and Hindu influences so far. But one of the things that made me decide to go for it was that it was founded by a Jewish Rabbi, Joseph Gelberman.
My core tutor has a background in Celtic Christianity.

Dear #VillageSchool staff:
Re: Assemblies

Can we please all make an effort to remember that we are a #multifaith School when choosing songs for Assembly? I know everyone prefers the songs we learned when we were children ourselves, and they do mostly have better tunes, but we need to be #allies to those from minority religious traditions.

In particular:

'Onward, Pagan Army' is unsuitable even if you leave out verses 2-4, 7-9 and all the actions.

A quick intro, I may do a more comprehensive post later.

I am a mostly housebound disabled person with ME, with aspirations to ministry/ celebrancy.

I was put forward to the Anglican priesthood in 2014 and rejected for being too conservative... and then I deconstructed those beliefs and, at this point, I would describe myself as agnostic, but still interested in religion(s).

Oh, just a funny anecdote.
My #HumanisticChristianity project is inspired by #HumanisticJudaism.

Recently I decided to have a look at my ancestry, to look for a reputed Jewish connection. (My maternal grandfather had claimed to be Jewish)

What we found though, bizarrely, was a very unexpected ArchDeacon and ArchBishop of Canterbury!!!

I don't know whether my ancestors would be pleased or appalled at my #agnostic, #interfaith #multifaith #Humanist perspective and projects!
