But--they do it with permission & contracts, & sell to individual readers, not to for-profit businesses.</p><p>Unless they're using WPdotcom!</p><p>Lit & news sites provide a service for <a href="https://newsie.social/tags/writers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>writers</span></a> to be seen by readers, but I agree wholeheartedly: <a href="https://newsie.social/tags/Automattic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Automattic</span></a> (for ex) has no right to then take those written works & resell. Esp if lit/#news sites are PAYING WPdotcom to host!</p>
