Any #HAM #radio operators in the Northern #Atlanta #Georgia area who could point me to a local repeater that has some ears? I'm stuck in Alpharetta for the next week for work and I'd like to be able to chat and meet new people.

I've tried the Roswell machine(s)(?).. the 2m one won't key up for me here at the hotel, and I don't have the power in this little HT to keep the 70cm one keyed up. I can trip it from the hotel room, but it's not reliable.

Something that'll hear my little 5W HT would be great. Analog or #DMR ... I've got both available to me, and front panel programming capable, too.

ich werde demnächst ein (zweites) Stromkabel für einen alten
Yaesu-Transceiver FT-7 benötigen und habe schon herausgefunden, daß der
Stecker wohl zur Kategorie "Cinch Jones" gehört. Nur gefunden habe ich
ihn noch nicht. Ein sechspoliger Stecker mit flachen Pins, von denen
einer um 90° gedreht ist.

Hat jemand eine Idee, wo man sowas noch bekommen könnte?

The most exciting was a 10-year old who passed her Technician exam and was smiling ear to ear about getting on the airwaves with her dad. Man, that kind of enthusiasm and joy is infectious.

Any #ham radio operators have the Kenwood ts-890s? I hear it's pretty good plus it has built-in speech. Kenwood doesn't have the price on their website so I wonder how much it actually would be to buy.

So I got a beaut of a shortwave radio at Goodwill and last night was tuner ooner oonering around and could sometimes hear that gauzy, garbled, inexpressively twentieth century comms static, which I think is actually what I primarily want from this, but, and really but, there is a LOT of space to scan on shortwave and so, any recommendations of what I should tune into? I make myself realtime pskreporter-map and it's actually pretty eye-opening. For example now it seems 10m is open between Europe and Brazil/Argentina. And 15m nicely open between US-EU.

There has been some art made lately, but I have not been posting it for whatever reaasons. Some recent art has been focused on attempting a project.

Anyways, I traced some circles here, with the intention to be able to make stickers! These are not stickers yet.
