Site for the home next to workshop has been cleared. Unfortunately I don't know how far out in future next step might be thanks to certain orange wannabe dictator. Housing market has slumped and I need to get my money out of existing house before I can continue this build. But it's a minor problem compared to what lot of people are going thru. I at least still have a job and roof over my head. This just means delay. That's all.

Had a long conversation with electrician today as he is starting the job of running wiring. I am going with surface mounted panel. workshop will have 200amps with another 200 amps going to the house once it's built. I will be pulling 2 cat6 cables thru conduit between home and shop. lots of outlets on the wall. each of the walls will have 2 x 220v outlets with each wall on it's own circuit. there are also 2 x 110v circuits on each wall as well.
Insulated garage door gets delivered next week.

Workshop progress..
Concrete floor got poured last week and this week siding is going up. Third photo is looking from workshop towards back of our property. The trees behind the ladder will be taken out since that's where main house is going to go.

Workshop floor is getting poured tomorrow. So our builder's crew hustled today to insulate the floor. So far looks like workshop being ready and livable by may is going to happen. It won't get used as my workshop until main home is built year after. But I am happy for any suggestions on things you would do if this was your shop. It has full bath in back corner so I don't track sawdust in the house but other than that, it's full open 600 sqft shop.

Workshop is coming along nicely. It's a 26'x26' building that will be detached from main home. It does have small bathroom as well. We decided to also put a small kitchenette in and plan is for us to use it as a small apartment temporarily while house gets built.

What's pretty cool is I think I have my permanent Fedi-home after 2 or 3 migrations, and running my own instance...haha.
Especially after a short stint in the hell hole that is TikTok, I think I like where I've landed and now I can streamline my social media platforms.
