#eggs

For decades, I ate Grape Nuts for breakfast. #Eggs were off limits due to #HighCholesterol. When I discovered I had #ElevatedGlucose, I had to cut carbs. No Grape Nuts in 6 months now!

I easily eat 18 eggs a weeks!! And my cholesterol is the best it's ever been! I’m gobsmacked. It's like my glucose issues (though barely scratching the surface) were affecting my cholesterol. And my glucose is too under control.

But the insurance no longer wants to pay for the #CGM (#ContinuousGlucoseMonitor) which is the tool that has allowed me to get my blood in such perfect condition - overall BEST TESTS in about 30 years. They don't want to pay because I'm not diabetic. At least not technically. Though I've never done an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test.

However, certain foods I must avoid completely or my glucose spikes and start going like a roller coaster. And they haven't told me what that is. To me, it sounds like, you know… diabetes…

But the A1C test is now normal (was pre-diabetic). But it's normal because the CGM shows me when I don't eat the right things/quantities/combinations. And it's allowing me to learn. Could it be that I am beginning to be diabetic but able to manage it because of the sensor?

And the endocrinologist I had gone to see has quit. Not that she was that useful. So checking again with my doctor

If you only use one cooking vessel, a wok works best!

Fried rice flavoured with onion, beef salami, pomegranate seeds, and cauliflower leaves. Eggs (one chicken and two quail eggs) fried in the middle ... NOT egg fried rice. Rather, fried rice with eggs.

A great breakfast. Easy cleanup. Leftovers used up!

I've been over paying for #eggs since before it was cool. Over a decade a family friend has been selling a dozen eggs for $7½ since before I started visiting!

There was this closer farmer that was selling the same amount for $6, but their chickens got the 🐦 flu, & the farmer retired.

Now there is this new farmer that lives even closer that sells 🥚✕6 for $6! Yea, I've bought a few.

Now there is this home owner that sells ⓬ for $5 close to my mother's house! But you gotta lucky, they go fast.
