Started reading a #Discworld novel for the first time thinking it was #Ringworld. I feel it's like mixing up #StarTrek & #StarWars.
Will continue the Discworld book.

I found my second reading of the series more enjoyable than the first because I had a better understanding of the whole context. It was fun recognizing a brief reference to something in one book that's covered thoroughly in a different one and knowing what it meant.
i finished The Amazing Maurice yesterday. my stats show just over four hours of reading time, but over the course of like an entire month. i dont know, maybe it's Current Events, but the last couple of discworld novels haven't exactly been page turners for me. i'm definitely not in Maurice's target demographic, so maybe i can excuse this one, but even the last couple adult-oriented ones haven't been grabbing me. i'm definitely still gonna finish the series, i'm not NOT enjoying them, and there's no reason to quit when i'm so close to the end, but i suspect i'll be pleased to be done with this series. #discworld

Today would have been the birthday for the remarkable #TerryPratchett
Fond memories of hosting signing events with Terry, back in the day - the line ran around two floors of the bookshop, out the door, & round the block. It took hours to do it all.
He chatted to everyone who waited, occasionally dipping his aching wrist into a bowl of iced water for a short break from signing book after book.
