When was fascist patriarchy ever a problem for Catholics?

Catholics have done so much genocidal destruction to cultures around the world, stealing, punishing, abusing children. If they are offended, they can go fuck themselves until they truly apologize by dismantling the #Catholic Church -- probably top of the list of most powerful, abusive, #patriarchal entities on the planet. Happily harnessed to fascists.

I speak as one formerly indoctrinated into sick Catholicism whose family was devastated by said abuse. And an anthropologist fully aware of the destruction done by this so-called religion to #Indigenous cultures across continents.

My name is Power -- patrilineally of Waterford, SE Ireland. Think of the incalculable harms done by Catholic clergy to the children of Ireland, former Brit Empire colony propelling Irish Catholics around the world. Multiply that by all the Catholic colonial powers' crimes across the face of the Earth (France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy too). Perhaps the most massive institutional evil in world history.

I take it personally. And there is no more appropriate image of the rapist, fascist US president than as Pope. It fits.

The image features Trump wearing a white cassock and pointed miter, traditionally worn by a bishop. He wears a large cross around his neck, and has his finger held up, with a solemn facial expression.

Yeah let's discuss whether Agent-Orange should have posted a mildly amusing picture. By doing this overlook the fascist-adjacent policies or trashing of US (and world) economy...

“Therefore, #confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.” (James 5:16; ESV)

It seems that in spite of our high view of #scripture many #protestants simply ignore this verse. “I can just go to Jesus and be forgiven” is the common retort. And yet Scripture tells us to confess to one another and pray for the other’s healing from sin.

The #Anglican, #Catholic, and #Orthodox traditions are being more wholly faithful to Scripture when they encourage the faithful to go to #confession .

So a bit of #catholic metagame for you

my big fear with this conclave is that Robert Sarah will be elected. He was the guy responsible for popularizing a certain, term that originated on 4chan in reference to transgender people in Catholic Theological discourse. To the point where even His Late Holiness Francis reportedly used it

Although never in published remarks, or magisterial documents

Worse yet is if he chooses my sacred name for his papal

I hate that the Traditionalists/Fundie Faction took a shit on Saint Pius X, and then claimed the soiled garments as their sock puppet i really do.

I chose the name i did part to rescue the Saints legacy. Having the Catholic Trump using my fucking name to spread hatred would just about be the worst

But I don't think I'll wanna change my name if that comes to pass, although i might be forced. I AM PIUS DAMN IT all.

But let's hope that doesn't happen

Really, really bad and dangerous joke. The #pope is as EQUALLY as powerful as the president. And if the pope so says the #catholic church is not aligned with Trump, that means a HUGE majority of the world's population will also be against Trump, including political leaders. Especially in South America and Southern Europe. Popes don't write political bulls, but nothing says can't. #news #religion #trump irishstar.com/news/us-news/don
