A few weeks ago @notjustbikes released a video on Klinkers, the standardized bricks used for paving in the Netherlands. Today, on a bike ride near Sint Michielsgestel (near 's-Hertogenbosch), I found odd 'ribbed' klinkers used as lane markers in the bike lane.

Just because I'm a weirdo, I made a 3D model of the klinker, and subsequently an animation of it.

One of my wife's colleagues, a bike racer who used to work in a bike shop, had a friend hot wax his cassette in advance of a 3-day bike event.

This makes no sense to me, but I throw it to you, the #BikeTooter community: is there any conceivable reason to hot wax a cassette?

#30DaysOfBiking Day 14:
After such a nice day Sunday, in contrast today is cloudy, cold and very windy, not conducive for a "fun" ride. So instead, i hooked the trailer onto my #ebike and did a grocery store run for 6 miles.
The long anticipated electric utility construction is starting today which will very soon close the trail that is my direct link to most of #RochMN . It will remain to be seen how well marked the bike and pedestrian detour will be and how rideable it will be.
