“The Conservative Party supports conscience rights for doctors, nurses, and others to refuse to participate in, or refer their patients for abortion, assisted suicide, or euthanasia.”

And there it is, this is the strategy Danielle Smith’s UCP is using to limit access to #MaternalHealthcare. They don’t have to explicitly ban #Abortion or #MAID in order to restrict access.

@teslatakedown.com I’m now seeing lotsa #Tesla cars in Murfreesboro, #Tennessee. This is a deep red #Trump district represented by Dr Scott DesJarlais even *after* court testimony revealed he pointed a gun at his girlfriend and *patient* pressuring her to get an #abortion. I suspect used Teslas are being shipped here where they won’t be torched 🔥 or keyed 🔑.

The funny part is that #Republican state legislators blocked electric ⚡️ charging station infrastructure because it was #woke.

Missouri house passes amendment re-establishing abortion ban

In addition to the abortion language, the proposed amendment also would place in the constitution a ban on transgender youth accessing gender-affirming health care.

They're going to have to revisit the definition of "person" they used against Row that is found in the 14th. This is why absolutely NO country in the free world will touch the #abortion issue because it opens up Pandoras box for other things. Are corporations persons? Well if you say no, then neither are fetuses. If you say no to people born in the US, you say no to both fetuses AND anyone you want. So the conservatives have their balls in a ringer. #news #law #trump nytimes.com/2025/04/17/us/poli

In November, Missouri voters approved an amendment to the state's constitution that provided the right to reproductive freedom, legalizing abortion. Yesterday, the House Republicans voted to essentially repeal that, making abortion illegal in Missouri again, with limited exceptions. Here's more from St. Louis Public Radio.

"Attorneys for CHI and MercyOne argue that “finding an unborn child to be a ‘person’ would lead to serious implications in other areas of the law.”

Remember people, to Catholic doctors an "unborn child" is a person only in the case of abortion.
When a Catholic hospital kills an "unborn child" by lack of proper care it's only a fetus.

This indicates the differences observed among all study participants were largely due to the propensity to get #pregnant at different stages of the life course.

However, due to underreporting of #abortion and misreporting of #miscarriage more methodological work is needed to confirm the results.

In Idaho, a judge ruled that the strictest abortion ban in the country was, too strict. Abortions are now allowed not just if the pregnant person’s life is in imminent danger, but also if their life could be in danger in the future without one.

About the ruling OBGYN and plaintiff Emily Corrigan said: “Today’s ruling will help us preserve the health of some of our patients the way that we have been trained. But we will still be forced to turn people away, against our training as physicians. Abortion has long been part of the national standard of care offered to those with serious pregnancy complications, and it shouldn’t change just because of what state you are in. It is my duty to protect my patients and their health, and I will continue to advocate for all Idahoans seeking essential health care.”#freedom #abortion #AbortionIsHealthcare

"But more recently, fellow abortion opponents, who call themselves abortion abolitionists, are showing up to her booths with signs, often screaming “baby killer” at her while she speaks with students. Hawkins has had to send alerts to donors asking them to help pay for increased security."
