Author V C Willow<p>Unpopular but factual take:</p><p>Sensitivity readers should always be used when you're writing about a group you don't belong to. If nothing else to weed out:</p><p>Unconscious bias<br>Stereotypes<br>Offensive slurs<br>Tropes<br>Factual inaccuracies <br>Racism/Sexism/homophobia/transphobia etc.</p><p>You're not being censored or cancelled, you're not being told you can only write characters who look like you.
