Another 1000+ words today. I feel myself getting less excited about writing more, so I'm going to leave it for the day.
They're good words! I'm building towards an ending I have planned in my head. Big climax, swords fights, but mostly emotions. I may be leaning into familiar tropes, but I'll find ways to personalize it. I'm freshly confident I can do that.

#WordWeavers May 9: What was the last book you’ve read? Was there anything there you wanted to apply to your writing?
I just finished THE GOBLIN EMPEROR. It starts with a murder mystery, but that's the book is *about* character development, and I'm doing something kind of like that in mine where an action/adventure story is happening, but the tone is emotional, all about relationships.

I think it would become quite clear quite quickly to a reader who's not a left-winger that my stories are not for them. I mean, I don't use the phrase "anarcho-socialist," but it's anarcho-socialist. :)
