Trying to get my brain back into "application analysis and design" mode, for the next big module of my current project. Good thing I'm #WFH and I'm alone. Bad thing when I realize I have a ton of new questions for my users, so I'll have to... talk to people. ugh.

Tuesday 06:33
Technically a day off work on #PTO as I have a certain fun procedure tomorrow afternoon and start prep later today.
No solid food, no creamer, etc, so I shall be drinking Ginger Peach Black Tea this morning.

I was up in the middle of the night running #FoodBank end of month reports, with the most important part sending my CEO an email of information.
Once I sent that email I practically crashed out into bed.
Today will be a mixture of eating what I can, working on other reports & emails, lots of naps, and most importantly keeping out of Arianna's way as she works from home. #WFH

A friend of mine is visiting at lunchtime with a few items that he made for me.
I will post details afterwards.

So, as you can see I really don't have much to report today.
I hope that your day is as peaceful. If you do get stressed please feel free to reach out for a private chat. I am home all day.

The manager was like "as we discussed..."

Listen, just because you mentioned it in passing while you were grabbing a piece of office cake and coffee doesn't mean we had a discussion about it Linda.

I hate people.

Today's Tuesday afternoon adjoining neighbor DJ special is, I believe, live cuts of Selena Gomez.

Which is an improvement over Reggaeton-Noise using a washing machine, grass trimmer, and a broken horn.

Solid reasons to support WFH options.

"Hybrid working has enabled higher workforce participation among historically under-represented groups. Women’s workforce participation has risen, and more women are working full-time, partly due to the flexibility working from home offers in balancing work and family responsibilities.

"Workforce participation has also risen among older Australians, people with disabilities, and carers because working from home can reduce barriers to employment. Hybrid working may have also contributed to the gender pay gap shrinking slightly because women can now work in better-paying roles that previously required full-time office attendance.

"And while sceptics argue that working from home reduces productivity, the evidence suggests hybrid working models do not weigh on productivity (although full-time remote work can reduce productivity."

RTO mandates are a load of horse crap - if technology allows remote working then why rail against it?

Unless you're an inadequate bullying control freak type.

We are five years on from the first Covid lockdown. I wasn't furloughed. I spent most of my working time doing stuff to set up and help colleagues to work from home.

It made a huge positive difference.

And all the time I was working from home while doing this.

I get so much more done WFH.

Long before I was pulling back from buying things as much as possible, I was trying to eat lunch at home as much as possible. It's a significant benefit to work from home. I made some mandarin orange chicken and white sticky rice today. Every time you don't spend $12 on lunch at the local Chinese place, that's $12 you can put towards other bills.
