It is not just the corruption and greed, it is the exposure of the foolishness, if not outright stupidity of these greedy eejits. (1) obvious to observers (and bookies hate to be fleeced) and (b) the traceability.

Suffice to say that if what Cowley approvingly writes about accurately reflects Labour thought it'll be a rough four years.

And with both Tories and Labour solely courting Reform voters (who are very unlikely to switch) that's a lot of pressure for the Lib Dems and Greens to represent everyone else - from Corbyn fans to Clarke fans. Minimum.

Still better than the last lot, I guess.

Just read the Jason Cowley piece in The Times (if you hate yourself: thetimes.com/comment/columnist)

Wildly incoherent policy proposals (I agree with some, they just make no sense as a package), appealing to the proposer's imagination of the working class. Likely written by people who think they're down to earth because they own flat caps.

FAFO time...
At least 80 Labour MPs are at risk of losing their majorities over proposed welfare cuts, according to data shared between Labour MPs who are warning the government that the changes “pose a real electoral risk”.

Cabinet and senior ministers are among those who have smaller majorities than the number of constituents expected to be affected by the changes.
