This #socal #heatwave that is coming by Friday is way too early and as such will be really hard on some plants. Succulents will be fine, but any woody plant with new growth will lose a lot of water to transpiration. Heatwaves aren’t supposed to come until the new growth has barked over to keep water in.
Give thes plants and trees a deep watering NLT Wednesday or Thursday. Like 5 gal each. Enough to sink deep and remain available as surface moisture evaporates. Mulch will help too. When the leaves start wilting it’s already too late. But if they’ve been prewatered they’ll recover.

Everybody has that laying around already so the more we can get donations of those things, the easier it will be for us to put our budget toward bigger items like A/V.
