Another critter-packed dive up at Fort Constitution Pier in New Hampshire. I found a really good rock with all the critters on it!

Hylyissä on jotain aavemaista. Ne ovat joskus olleet jotain hienoa ja käyttökelpoista. Sitten niitä kohdannut tapahtuma on vienyt ne meren syvyyksiin, ja tehnyt niistä itsensä muistomerkkejä.
Samalla niissä on jotain kiehtovaa. On jännittävää nähdä, kuinka vesi tuhoaa ihmisen rakennelmat pala kerrallaan. Luonto valtaa tilan ja valjastaa sen omiin käyttötarkoituksiinsa. Hylyt täyttyvät korallista, kaloista ja muista meren elävistä.
Ja joskus ne katoavat kokonaan.
Captured this image of a banded guitarfish back in 2018 in the Sea of Cortez. This trip was jam-packed with awesome critters and I barely knew how to use my camera to capture them. Might be time for a return trip.

Another beautiful and cold month underwater here in New England. I managed 3 dives in New Hampshire and 1 in Massachusetts. I easily saw a couple hundred nudibranchs over the course of these dives

This dive at the Fort Constitution Research Pier in New Hampshire in late March was jam-packed with nudis, but the barnacle-eating nudibranchs in particular were EVERYWHERE. My gloves were leaking, so my hands were very cold (41F 
) but this was a nice dive!
Today is National Dolphin Day, so I'll share a few pictures of these awesome marine mammals. Here's a still and some video from my best dolphin encounter. The pod of over 100 cruised by half asleep and several drifted quite close to me. It was amazing!!!

Visited Folly Cove for the first time in a few months and found a nice variety of different nudi species. We saw a couple Ancula gibbosa, a few Ananthodoris pilosa, and even an Onchidoris muricata. My favorite find of the dive was a large mysis shrimp that I followed for a bit and managed to photograph in the water column. Nice dive!

What it means to dive a #rebreather. It means a lot of work and big investment. Being accurate. IBeing willing to learn.
It means to have a dooropener for great diving opportunities . But it is long journey to finally get there.
I met Jill Heinerth last year at the Dive Expo in #belgium. She is an exceptional diver. Very experienced, very open hearted. She spoke up to the male machism which is often present in #diving.
