BenHighfields park lake extends to the horizon, with the Trent building on the top right basking in the sun. The lake itself is frozen solid, with gulls halfway having agitated conversations. In the far distance trees house the high nests of cormorants.

BenA little egret stalks the banks of a small stream near Nottingham University. This is its favorite spot, but only on holidays or very early mornings when there's no humans nearby to disrupt its hunting. This section of the park has been restored, the small stream is once again meandering through reeds, allowing for an explosion in wildlife.
