It is a demon that has been well-fed, and plenty of doillars yet flow to keep it that way.

#NDP were on their way to taking the money out of AB politics, which is the first step. Otoh on that file alone so far the #UCP have taken two steps back, at least.

Alberta leaving is the end of Canada for the rest of Canadians too, which Danni knows full well.

So, it's not something to be tried like sampling a new greener-grass cola, separation is more likely permanent.

It seems likely he will be removed if this election plays out as the current conservative pollsters are pushing: they are clearly pushing the narrative of "if not #CPC, then #LPC at any cost!"

Which I find extremely telling. Do we really want to elect Angus Reid's second choice after #PP?

Reality is: most #BC and #AB ridings are more likely to elect #NDP or CPC than LPC. This may be true in #SK & #MB, and elsewhere. We need clean data from the sources, not Fournier's weighted model.

Every once in awhile, I wonder if Nathan Cullen had won the leadership of the NDP in 2012 in place of Tom Mulcair, if we would have had our first Federal NDP government.

Nathan was one of the most progressive voices in Parliament.

Instead, we have Mulcair chopping at the knees of "his" former party.

I like Jagmeet Singh a lot, but it seems he's at the end of his rope and a big part is because of insiders like Mulcair never supporting him.

Tom Mulcair is the worst thing to ever happen to the NDP.
What a horrendous mistake he was.

Reminder: this is what Mulcair said after his party decided to have a leadership race to replace him.

"Mulcair stressed the importance that New Democrats remain "united" going forward, and said his replacement should have the "absolute and complete support of 100 per cent" of the party."

Hypocrite.

CBCB.C. premier urges support for federal NDP after former leader Tom Mulcair calls party 'an afterthought' | CBC NewsPolls project the NDP losing the majority of its seats in B.C. as Liberals and Conservatives eat into its support.

Carney's so reserved about Man ning's drama, I call what Preston is dipping his oar into 'sedition'

As far as Danni' goes though, I'm with Naheed Nenshi of the #Alberta #NDP

"... if the premier wants to keep threatening a national unity crisis, she should call a referendum on Alberta separation and resign if it fails."

#Canada , beware those telling u 45 'went easy' on u with the #tariffs ; he didn't.

As they stand, in GDP/Household the US, CANADA, and MEXICO are set to lose the MOST

This is why I want the NDP holding the balance of power. Carney will shovel money at corporations, this has the slim hope it would be Crown Corporations. [If the Greens held power, for sure it would be Crown Corporations.]

"Money from Victory Bonds will be dedicated entirely to getting Canadians to work building public infrastructure like: roads, rail, housing, waterworks, ports, that we will own for generations," the party said"

Updated for polls up to April 1.

Edit: The NDP support is definitely off the lows and is starting to impact seat predictions. We can see it in Manitoba especially. Not so much Ontario, but races in BC are also starting to become competitive where they looked like a CPC sweep.

Probably a function of the local races/candidates coming into focus plus voters crystallizing opinions on Trump and applying to their ridings.

Elections are a moment when power most clearly shifts from the elected back to the electorate. Careful reflection is a duty.
During this federal election in Canada, has any Canadian political party articulated a plan to regulate artificial intelligence (AI) while there is time?

The godfather of AI, Geoffrey Hinton,
discusses the pressing need for AI safety. 👇

Seniors in Canada have been disrespected for too long. Both Conservatives and Liberals have failed them—pushing cuts, clawbacks, and neglecting their needs. With rising costs, pensions are eroded while billionaires get tax breaks. Clawbacks must end, and we will fix it by prioritizing dignity, security, and real financial support for seniors. #election2025 #canpoli #cdnpoli #seniors #ndp #portmoody #coquitlam
