Gundam Reference

I purchased the #HighGrade Moon #Gundam this past Saturday and was so excited to build it that I skipped my entire backlog and finished it last night.

It is honestly worth the premium price. The attention to detail is on par with a modern Real Grade, and it comes with enough accessories to keep me happy. Oh, and an entire Action Base 5, which are a good 20% of the sticker price of this kit (where I am, at least).

I finally sprayed some Dullcote on my #RealGrade Wing Gundam Zero EW, so here it is with all its stickers and (Delpi) decals.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. Most of my complaints come from the technology of the time it was released. The final result looks fantastic, though, so I won't complain too much.

Finally watched the first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, and I am on board. With Yoji Enokido's involvement (and some guy named Hideaki Anno), I am expecting good things from this series. It looks fantastic from a visual standpoint, and the lead is a girl again, so I'm all in.

The ending credits sequence is also fun, giving me a Baby Assassins vibe, of all things. :akko_giggle:

Just watched the first ep of Moonrise. And that was really good. I'm definitely watching this show. The description compared it to #GundamWing, and so far that is apt [in ways not including mecha]. It has a really good pace. Grand but not overwhelming. Introduces things well. And some interesting speculative technology.

Does anyone know if team members from #Gundam 00 are in involved in this?I'm getting some similar design vibes.

Those who have seen the finale of Gundam 00 know that "Peace cannot be achieved through force" is quoted from there. The rest of the quote goes, "It can only be attained by understanding each other."

These people protesting against genocide in Palestine understand the Gundam series better than anyone and are quoting a show made in response to the Iraq war in front of this advertisement for a series that has always shown the horrors of war for a reason.

Don't ever say anime isn't political. Don't say it can't be used as a force of good either. Watch Gundam 00, watch the new Gundam Gquuuuuux, and may Palestine one day be free.
