Green Party MP Sian Berry told HuffPost UK: “Trans rights need to be defended by everyone right now, especially those with the power to make new laws. This deeply disturbing amendment would be a gross violation of trans people’s right to privacy, risking a mass outing of trans people across the UK. Adam Dalliance<p>Zack seems to have a pretty good message and to be keen and energetic to be Green Party leader.</p><p>Carla and Adrian have been pretty good, but they haven't succeeded in getting the Green Party messages all over the press.</p><p>Think the UK public and press might not really be sophisticated enough to understand a job share. Probably better to have one person full time.</p><p>Dunno if the incumbents will even stand again. Four years is a long time for Green Party leaders. Jack McGovan<p>There is a complete and utter lack of vision from left-wing political parties at the moment, so I'm cautiously excited about Zack Polanski's promise of eco-populism in his leadership bid. He's the only Green Party official, aside from Caroline Lucas, who has made any kind of lasting impression, so he's probably the person best suited to the task at the present moment.</p><p>I think there's a great opportunity to build a campaign around policies like the nationalisation of public infrastructure, shifting to a four-day week and fixing the rental sector – all of those will have tangible benefits in people's lives and can be connected with decarbonisation. While it's important to oppose fascists, it can't be the only defining factor of our movement. Certainly Carla & Adrian, current leaders, don’t either. But, their double-act imo can appeal to radicals & conservatives alike.
