StephanieIt was hot today—almost 37 degrees! Definitely felt it while out and about. Had lunch at one of my favorite spots, then checked out some op shops for a handbag, but they were all too small.Had to make a vet appointment for Meesa’s vaccinations next week and double-check her microchip since one of the companies storing that data shut down. Thankfully, we’re not affected.Also looked over some of my uni course material in preparation for next week when it officially starts. Picked up lamb, chicken, potato salad, and Greek salad for dinner for the next two nights. Still Mad About CD PricesThis anecdote is not necessarily helpful.On clinical internship about 20 years ago my fellow interns were sharing stories of faculty members in grad school with whom they had formed good, sometimes lasting relationships. Mentors, surrogate parent figures, damn near spiritual advisors, in some cases.It became clear that we were going in order, around the circle (8 people). Before long, they were all looking at me. They knew I was in Ohio State's clinical psych PhD program, definitely an R1 (research-focused, research-funded) program.My colleague J-- looked at me and asked, "What about you?"I stammered a moment, then said something like, "I honestly can't remember any experiences like that."
