They play perfect, they sound perfect, they look perfect. The atmosphere is pure magic.
They have a strict no phone policy and now I know why. Because it adds to the magic, you stay connected.

I said it yesterday, I don't think I ever saw a perfect concert like this before. David Gilmour at Schloss Schönbrunn came close, Radiohead too. But overall, Tool rules them all.

The ticket prices are justified, even for seats 7km away from stage.

Go see them!

The LA lads Adam Jones, Justin Chancellor, Maynard James Keenan are not tools but Tool. The band that doesn't need an introduction.

They enter the stage. A gigantic videowall opens and draws you in as they start playing.

From the very first notes pure perfection unfolds. I am overwhelmed, goosebumps will remain my companion throughout the evening.

The sound incredible.
The visuals are magnificent.

I saw #Tool at Nova Rock back in 2006. The concert was good, but I wasn't really a fan back then. This changed over the course of the last years, but I still was very hesitant to buy these expensive tickets. So if it hadn't been for my friend, I wouldn't have gone. And I would have missed something incredible.

So here we are, 18 years later sitting on uncomfortable seats 6km away from stage.

As I mentioned in the first toot, I was not too keen on the setup of the concert. Wiener Stadthalle is a dated venue with crappy accoustics. Also seated concert usually means only mild enthusiasm and atmosphere. The fact that our very expensive seats were 5km away from the stage didn't necessarily excite me.

So why did I go? Because a friend got me a ticket.
