Four CEI Hub bills have been introduced in Salem.
Legislators must understand that addressing the catastrophic dangers of the CEI Hub is an urgent priority.
How can we do this?
A MASSIVE SHOW OF PUBLIC SUPPORT -- STATEWIDE
1. Get more familiar with the issues [info linked in post]
2. Ask your state Representative “Please support these bills”
a. Tell them action on the CEI Hub is important because …. (choose a reason that is important to you, such as “it’s a huge public safety risk”; “we have known for too long that a catastrophe can happen”; “the environment is at stake.”)
b. “Please co-sponsor the CEI Hub Transition Plan (HB 3450) and Risk Bond Study (HB 2949) bills.” [note: the other two bills are committee bills and don’t need co-sponsors]
Find Your Legislator
3. Add your voice of support at the public hearing on FEB. 27
a. Come to Salem or join the hearing via zoom
b. Send written testimony*
c. Sign up for oral testimony *
*The testimony window will open after the committee officially announces the hearing. You can check the meeting announcements for time and testimony portal at: House Emergency Management committee
