Your home feed is where you can see posts from people you follow.
Local is where you can see posts from anyone on this instance.
Federated is a complete list of posts from instances which this one hasn't blocked.
Tip: To follow a hashtag, go to mindly.social, and under the explore tab, enter one that you're looking for. Click on it, and in the top right corner there will be a follow button.
