The Biden Administration has announced that Medicaid and ACA eligibility will be expanded to include DACA recipients. This is great news and will provide vital access to #healthcare for nearly 600,000 #DACA recipients. This win is the direct result of years of relentless organizing by immigrant youth. Now is the time to push our WA lawmakers to ensure everyone has access to the care they need. 1/6 https://twitter.com/POTUS/status/1646514773042032640
While #DACA has provided critical relief and opportunities to hundreds of thousands of immigrants, it still leaves millions of immigrants behind, and at the moment, litigation is preventing newly arriving immigrants from accessing DACA eligibility. 2/6
Even with this milestone, millions of undocumented folks across this country will not have access to lifesaving #healthcare. But the good news is we can take action right now in Washington State to fund immigrant healthcare programs! 3/6
Right now #WAleg is finalizing the biennial budget, and our lawmakers have the opportunity to fund affordable health care for ALL immigrants in Washington state, regardless of immigration status. 4/6
TONIGHT, we’re joining @SEAindivisible to phone bank WA State Senators to secure healthcare for all regardless of immigration status. Join the #WAISN team here in calling #WAleg: https://tinyurl.com/HEIC-2023 5/6
Can’t make it? Send an email to your Democratic Senator and urge them to fully fund #immigrant health care programs in the biennial budget: bit.ly/heicpush 6/6 #HEIC
