@lizetkruyff Where do you see the eggs?
I was interested to see the mention of arbutus fruit. I have several arbutus on my property, and enjoy the fruit as well. It’s quite healthy – three times the amount of vitamin C has found in oranges, high in pectin, a good base for jams and jellies.
@tsubtext The white things on the right might easily be a bit dingy peeled eggs in my opinion. And indeed, the arbutus is a good suggestion. Never tasted them, alas, but when writing about the food of Jheronimus Bosch found quite a few of them in his paintings. And a possible archaeological find in the town of 's - Hertogenbosch.
@lizetkruyff Wonderful! I’ll look a little more closely in his paintings to see if I can spot them. Every one of his paintings is a slow and wondrous revelation.
I wondered if you were talking about those white things on the right. They are partially obscured, I can’t make sense of them at all.
@tsubtext Those two indeed, in the context it could have been hard or semi-hard boiled eggs, I think.
