Sometimes you need to wait until the perfect time to appreciate a piece of art. In my case it was the book WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING. I view the ultra-popular with a skeptical eye. If something appeals to all, it's dead to me :) I'm often wrong.
Without spoiling any plot points, the book is wonderful. There is a sense of dread throughout the entire book, with perfect Easter eggs scattered in all the right places. As an author, I dream of writing such a book. #GreatBooks #ArtIsLife #ReadingIsFun
@t3rrybowman I kept putting off reading the book or watching the movie but I finally watched the movie recently and it was amazing!! As they say, the book is always better though!
@Coccinella I listened to the audiobook on the way home yesterday. It was perfect.
@t3rrybowman awesome—I’ll add it to my list
@Coccinella it’s worth it. I’m glad you’re digging Mastodon. One thing I’ve learned is to add a description to and photos I upload. There are a lot of folks who do text to talk and it helps them to “see” the pictures. Accessibility is a beautiful thing.
@t3rrybowman ahhh great tip! Thank you for that!
@t3rrybowman so I added descriptive text to my video I just shared but I don’t see it anywhere (is this something that only appears if you indicate that you’re visually impaired?
@Coccinella another pro-tip: the enhanced view on the desktop is 10x better than the phone so. You can see the descriptions and also edit your posts
@t3rrybowman ahhh ok that’s what it is thank you
