I went on a hike yesterday. Logged over 7 miles and a 200m elevation change yesterday. Today, I'm being very lazy.

A gnarled old tree with long limbs bending in different directions.
A small tunnel through a boulder field.
An obscured view through the pine trees out to the next mountain ridge.
A hawk perched in a nearby tree.

I also picked up some Longleaf Pine needles that a recent storm blew down, and plan on a pine needle basket with them once they dry out. (These hardy trees were once used to build ships and were overharvested, so there's a effort to protect and restore them now.)

A Longleaf Pine needle next to a 16oz water bottle for scale. There's also a vanishingly small Virginia Pine needle in between for comparison.
